Single// Let’s Buy Happiness, Dirty Lakes.

It’s incredibly difficult to write, or even find, a track nowadays that is so gentle that it could somewhat be described as folk at it’s mellowest without the acoustic guitars and country-esque rhythm, yet still falls into the category of indie-pop at its most exciting.
With Sarah Hall’s charmingly alluring vocals and whimsical, guitar line purveying definitive indie-pop twee, yet manages to niggle its way through into our brains without, hope of leaving anytime soon. Whilst building up to an electrifying chorus and draining out with one singular guitar chord, bringing about an overpowering urge to start it over again.
So make sure that you head down to your local record store on September 26th to pick up, what could, be indeed the best female-fronted single to be released this year.

Jonathan Hatchman.
